COMMITTEES

The Council of Infrastructure Financing Authorities engages members in policy, advocacy, outreach and communications through its committees. CIFA has three committees focused on the development and implementation of policy and two committees focused on education, training and outreach.

POLICY COMMITTEES

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee develops CIFA’s policy positions on federal legislation that impacts funding and programmatic implementation of State Revolving Funds, such as federal requirements on programs and borrowers.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee develops CIFA’s policy positions on federal legislation and regulation that impacts the leveraging power of State Revolving Funds, such as the tax-exempt status of bond proceeds and regulation of municipal markets.

​

EPA Committee

The EPA Committee develops CIFA’s policy positions on the implementation of laws, regulations, and guidance that impacts State Revolving Funds, such as ensuring consistency of policy decisions across the agency’s ten regions.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND OUTREACH COMMITTEES

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development Committee supports development and implementation of a comprehensive education and training program for SRF managers and staff. The program includes online and onsite learning opportunities, including the annual SRF Workshop and annual Water Infrastructure Summit.
